Computer Area Usage Procedures
Tallahassee Community College's Academic Computing Labs' staff strives to make the computer area resources and time spent in them productive for all. To ensure this, computer area usage procedures have been created:
- The computer area is for use by students currently enrolled at TCC or one of the College's University Partners (Barry University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Flagler College, Saint Leo University and Thomas University).
- Computer area facilities are to be used for academic purposes only. Students should be prepared to show evidence of assignments from instructors. If you are not sure of your assignment, contact your instructor. The computer area assistant will help you with the operation of the equipment. He/She will not do your work for you.
- Remember, as a TCC student you are responsible for following the TCC Student Conduct Code at all times. (Please refer to the TCC Student Handbook.)
- Disorderly conduct is prohibited as described in the TCC Student Handbook, Article IV.
- Children are not allowed in the computer areas.
- Food and tobacco products are not to be consumed in the computer areas. Beverages with lids are permitted. Please take caution with consuming beverages in the area.
- Place all communication devices (cell phones, etc) on vibrate before entering the computer area..
- Use Print Preview before printing. The laser printers should only be used when you are ready to produce a final copy of your work, as they are expensive to use. Staff may limit additional copies if excessive printing is done.
- When you are ready to leave the computer area, ensure that you log out and shut down the computer. Remember to take your flash drive, books, and other personal items.
