What if I am having problems with my eAccount, my TCC e-mail, course access or my computer?
TCC has an excellent student support system to help students with any of the above problems. Your instructor can offer help for course materials; all other help can be obtained via the Student Help Desk. If you are having technical problems logging in to your Web Based or Web Assisted course, check our list of Frequently Asked Technical Questions first. What is a TCC Access Card?
Any currently enrolled student who has paid his/her fees may obtain a photo TCC Access Card which allows use of library materials, access to campus labs, access to campus facilities, and events. On-site students may obtain a photo Access Card in the One Stop Center in the Cashier's Office and after hours in the TCC Police Department. Call for available hours: (850) 201-8415. For use of Library resources, distance learning students are able to request a non-photo Access Card. This card cannot be used for on campus resources or events. The Distance Learner's ID allows full access to all library materials.

How will I receive grades and feedback for my work?
Grades and feedback will be handled in several different ways. You may receive your grades via e-mail to your TCC e-mail account. If your instructor is using on on-line gradebook, he/she will tell you how to access your grades on-line. All grades are confidential and you will only be allowed to view your personal grades.

What if I need to drop or withdraw from a course?
The deadlines for dropping or withdrawing from a web-based course follow the same deadlines as any course within a given semester. Please refer to the current schedule of classes for this semester's drop and withdrawal deadline dates. Your instructor will also be able to supply these dates. You may drop/withdraw from a course in person by filling out the appropriate form in Enrollment Services or you may e-mail your instructor to drop/withdraw from a course from an off-campus location.

How do I submit course assignments?
Each instructor will design a method for assignment delivery. General procedures for submitting assignments include: assignment link, digital drop box, e-mail, posting to the class discussion board, fax, U.S. mail service, or hand deliver if the student attends on-campus courses. Be sure to refer to the course syllabus for course assignment information. For additional details, contact your instructor.

How will I take my tests?
There are a variety of testing methods used in distance learning such as online quizzes and tests, project based evaluation, etc. Your instructor will provide you with details on how testing will be done for your particular course.
For proctored testing, students within the TCC area, will take tests on-campus in the TCC Testing Center. The Testing Center is located in Room 208 of the Fine & Performing Arts Center You may find available hours for the Testing Center via the web Testing Center or via phone: (850) 201-8282. Students needing off-site testing must locate a convenient college and obtain a proctor from that location. You must also contact Katrina White via e-mail: whitek@tcc.fl.edu to allow her to complete the process of obtaining off-site testing arrangements.

Will I ever need to go to the TCC campus?
You may need to visit the TCC campus; however, most classes have been developed for all distance learners. If you are still in doubt, contact the course instructor.

If I am taking a web-based class, how do I obtain help with the course material?
You, and every student in your class, will have access to the instructor and each of your classmates. There are several different ways you can obtain help. You can post a question to your class discussion board - each course has a common area for all to utilize - called the discussion board. Other classmates and the instructor can respond to your question. You may convey specific questions to your instructor via e-mail. Your instructor also has office hours so you may phone or visit (if in the area) your instructor to discuss class material.
