TCC utilizes the Blackboard Learning System for the enhancement of both Web-assisted and Web-based instruction. In a Web-based course all course content, interaction, grades and possibly tests are 100% online. A Web-assisted course utilizes Blackboard to enhance or augment face-to-face instruction by placing course content such as documents, PowerPoints, tests, grades, and/or interaction online.
All Web students must read the information provided at Web Orientation before accessing your Web course for the first time. Please complete the Browser and Media Plug-in check and Horizon Wimba Voice Tools plug-in check to ensure that your computer meets all the browser and media plug-in requirements.
TCC's Student Success Center cordinates new student orientation for all degree-seeking students. The orientation program familiarizes students with TCC policies, campus procedures and a number of important student resources. The information provided through the orientation program enables students to make informed decisions when scheduling classes and provides strong guidance as students work towards future academic and career goals. In addition to the on campus TCC orientation program, TCC Online Orientation is available for students who are taking courses at a distance.
Courses are delivered in a variety of methods:
