Art
"Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul." - Wassily Kandinsky
Students interested in exploring the world of art or improving their artistic
skills can benefit from art courses offered. Classes are taught by a faculty of committed artists each with his or her unique artistic vision. Correspondingly, in workshop classes, faculty encourage students to discover their own creative ideas, and they provide instruction in the skills, methods and media necessary to the realization of each student's individual visual language.
The Art Program offers a variety of courses in western and non-western art history, drawing, painting, photography and crafts. Faculty artists teach students the technical fundamental processes of art, and they also serve as role models to encourage students to find their own artistic direction.
