The Dr. Irving Fleet Scholarship Criteria for Recipients of the Dr. Irving Fleet ScholarshipEach year the faculty of the Tallahassee Community College Dental Health Programs will select Dental Assisting and/or Dental Hygiene students to be awarded a $500 scholarship. This scholarship will be judged solely on merit and has no financial needs requirement.The student(s) selected must:
- Maintain a grade point average of 2.50 or greater
- Display exceptional compassion when dealing with patients
- Be a team player in all settings, especially the clinical setting
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Display a commitment to improving the oral health within the community
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational leadership potential
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all situations
- Display an interest in lifelong learning and self-betterment in career skills
Smiles By Beck A $1000 scholarship awarded to a dental assisting or dental hygiene student in August of each year. Drs. Marci & Glen Beck and the dental programs faculty select a student by having students write an impromptu composition on a topic selected by the Drs.
