Purchase, Rental & Preview of Media Materials

When the materials arrive at the Library, the instructor will be contacted again by e-mail announcing the arrival of the materials and specifying the date of return. As with rental, there is a charge for keeping preview materials past the due date; consequently, all media will be returned on the specified date unless prior arrangements have been made with the Director of Library Services.

  1. Preview materials will be available for viewing/listening at the Circulation Department by faculty members, librarians, and members of the administration. Students will not be allowed to view/listen to preview materials.
  2. Preview materials are available for purchase consideration to colleges and universities at no charge. The viewing of these materials is usually limited to selection committees. In exceptional cases where an instructor feels it advisable to elicit student evaluation of the suitability or usefulness of a particular item as an instructional aid, the item may be used subject to any restrictions or limitations set by the producer. The Director of Library Services shall approve such classroom use.
