Computer Technology

High earnings, favorable job prospects and diverse work environments are attracting numerous students to careers in Computer Technology. The Internet age is exploding with opportunities at all levels and with a range of employers.

Tallahassee Community College offers a variety of programs through the Computer Technology area. We offer courses in basic, advanced and specialized Computer Literacy (Business applications and Education). Other programs include Networking (CISCO, C-Tech cabling, Linux, Security and Microsoft Server support), Computer Programming Specialist and Analysis, Web Design, Help Desk Technology and Database.

Students who excel in Computer Technology are generally excellent problem solvers who pay attention to detail. They possess strong analytical skills and are able to take a user's need and break it down into logical, manageable steps. He or she must also be willing to study new technologies as they industry continues to evolve.
