Criminal Justice Technology

Welcome to Tallahassee Community College's Criminal Justice Technology Program! We invite you to take a few minutes to learn more about the program and explore the learning opportunities TCC has to offer.

TCC's Criminal Justice Technology Program is interdisciplinary in nature, drawing upon many different fields of study including, but not limited to, law, sociology, psychology, political science, history, biology, medicine economics and management. The program focuses both on the theoretical and the practical aspects of criminal justice, with the emphasis on the practical. All faculty members have extensive real world experience in the subject matter they teach and a minimum of a master's degree in that field.

TCC's Criminal Justice Technology Program offers a curriculum to prepare students with an associate in science degree for transfer, at the junior academic level, to a college or university baccalaureate criminology or criminal justice program. The College also has articulation agreements in place with Florida Gulf Coast University and Barry University, providing students with the option to complete coursework online.

TCC also works closely with the Florida Public Safety Institute's Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy to ensure every opportunity is made available to academy graduates to complete an associate's degree in our program. Extensive academic credit is awarded for completion of the law enforcement or corrections academy toward our associate in applied science (AAS Academy Track) degrees.
