Engineering and Technology Certificate Programs

Tallahassee Community College's certificate programs are designed for learners looking to gain a specialized skill set for entry into the job force. They typically take one year to complete. The Engineering & Technology program currently offers three certificate options: Building Construction, Computer-Aided Drafting and Design  (CADD) and Geographic Information Systems  (GIS ) Technology.

Partnership with Engineering & Department of Environmental Protection

The Engineering and Technology program is proud of its partnership with the Department of Environmental Protection, hosting several GPS Workshops throughout the year.

This workshop is offered to DEP staff within the Division of Water Resource Management and to the State's five water management district staff who work in water quality monitoring.

Workshops cover the basics of what the Global Positioning System (GPS) is and teaches the concepts of locational data collection, manipulation, and importation into Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The workshop utilizes Trimble Pro XR and Geo XT GPS receivers.
