Physical Education & Recreation
Pursue a promising career in a challenging and rewarding field. In Physical Education, opportunities to teach, coach and otherwise assist in the physical development of young people are just few of the benefits of earning a degree. You'll have the opportunity to work in public and private schools, reacreation departments and YMCAs. And you can often qualify for part-time work in the field as you pursue your degree. The A. A. degree can prepare you for non-teaching jobs, while higher wages and teaching positions are available to those who complete a bachelor's degree in Physical Education at Florida State University.
The articulated A.A. degree in Physical Education generally attracts students who are outgoing, health conscious and have a passion for physical activity. They often have a higher than average interest in physicology and enjoy organizing team competitions. Special requirements such as a criminal background check may be necessary for a person to be eligible to teach in public schools.
In Recreation Technology, you have the opportunity to lead leisure and recreational activities, work with a range of age groups and spend time indoors and outdoors. This degree prepares you for work in recreation departments, YMCA's, large corporations and fitness centers. And you can often qualify for part-time work in the field as you pursue your degree.
