Financial Literacy Online
Financial Literacy (THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE COMPLETED ONLINE) at www.navigatingyourfinancialfuture.org/workshops.
First-Time Borrowers at TCC are required to complete the Financial Literacy requirement, complete Entrance Counseling, and sign a Master Promissory Note (www.studentloans.gov), prior to disbursement of their student loan funds. In order to be eligble for a Federal Student Loan, a student must be enrolled in six eligible credit hours as a degree seeking student, and meet financial aid satisfactory progress requirements.
- Students are encouraged complete a degree audit review to determine if classes are part of your degree requirements. You may review your degree audit through the TCC Passport link then under the "My Success" Tab.
Students who attend multiple sessions within a semester cannot receive their loans until they are attending at least 6 eligible credit hours. Students may be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours, but the loans cannot be paid until the student has verified attendance in 6 credit hours.
Class attendance must be verified before federal loans can be disbursed.

Once you are in the website click “Get Started” arrow at the bottom of the page. 2. Select your school and click “Continue” 3. Select the “Financial Literacy” workshop and click “Begin Exam” button. At the end of the workshop you will be asked for specific information which will be used to notify the Financial Aid Office that you have completed this training. A confirmation page will be generated for your records. Please allow 24-48 hours for all completions to be sent to the school.
