Campus Safety Features and Services
TCC ALERT- Tallahassee Community College has adopted TCC Alert, a notification system that enables the College to send urgent emergency information via text to cell phones and e-mail. TCC students, parents of students, faculty and staff can sign up for emergency notification e-mails and text messages at www.e2campus.com/my/tccfl/.
Call Box System- To use: Push the "call" button, the box automatically dials the Police Department’s 24-hour inbound phone line.
TCC’s campus features a network of call boxes located in each building on each floor for the purpose of contacting the College’s Police Department in the event of an emergency. In addition, "Blue Phone" call boxes are located the northwest Annex parking lot and the parking garge.
Pay Phone- Dial 911 in the event of an emergency at no cost.
Escort and Tram Service- Call (850) 201-6100 for an escort or ride anywhere on campus.
Security Cameras- Security cameras are placed throughout the TCC campus. Cameras are monitored at the TCC Police Department 24-hours per day.
Student Resource Officer Program- The Student Resource Officer Program works with Campus Police to ensure the safety and welfare of the campus community, to serve the students, faculty and staff of TCC. The SRO Program reduces the impact of crime on the Campus through increased student involvement.
Coordination with Area Law Enforcement- In the event of a major safety issue, local law enforcement will be called to campus.
