Zombie Prom
October 13-15 and 20-22, 8 p.m.
Book & Lyrics by John Dempsey
Music by Dana P. Rowe
Directed by Naomi Rose-Mock
It’s not just another day at Enrico Fermi High when dead student Jonny Warner, a casualty of the local nuclear plant, reappears at school in hopes of completing his senior year. Jonny’s re-entry is anything but smooth, as this fast-paced musical story illuminates the stage. Set in the 1950s, the score hits the jackpot with songs such as "Rules, Regulations, and Respect," "The Voice in the Ocean," "How Can I Say Goodbye?" and "Expose." Zombie Prom is a delightfully campy way to creep into the Halloween spirit!
The Heidi Chronicles
December 1-3 and 8-10, 8 p.m.
By Wendy Wasserstein
Directed by Sheri Cox
Wasserstein’s play follows art historian Heidi Holland as she navigates the changing world of the 1960s, '70s, and '80s while searching for fulfillment and a sense of identity. It is a sharply funny, insightful and poignant story that asks all the right questions about where women had been and where they were heading during the social revolutions of the Baby Boomer generation.
The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940
April 5-7, 12-14, 8 p.m.
By John Bishop
Directed by M. Derek Nieves
In this side-splittingly funny murder-mystery farce, a creative team meets at a potential backer’s secluded mansion to pitch a new Broadway show. During their visit, members of the group begin to drop dead one by one at the hands of a mysterious “slasher.” Trapped by a snow storm, panic, chaos and hilarity ensue as accusations are made and eventually the mystery is solved. “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” is a clever and wildly comic romp!
