TCC Baseball takes game one against Shelton State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 13, 2010) – FCCAA No. 5 Tallahassee Community College (5-1) picked up a 7-3 win over visiting Shelton State (Ala.) Community College on Saturday afternoon at Eagle Field.

Kyle Fitzpatrick pitched five strong innings, allowing just two runs on six hits while striking out five to earn the win.

Mack Waugh relieved Fitzpatrick in the sixth and had a stellar outing in relief, recording a four-inning save. He allowed one run.

Offensively for TCC, Marcus Grimaldi went 3-for-4 with two doubles while Adam Rigoni batted 2-for-4.

TCC hosts Shelton State in game two of the three-game series on Sunday at Eagle Field. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
