Lady Eagles host Southern Challenge JUCO Jamboree on Saturday
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 28, 2010) – Fourteen of the top NJCAA women’s basketball teams in the Southeast will be in action at Tallahassee Community College on Saturday, October 30 when the 2010 Southern Challenge JUCO Jamboree tips off at the Eagledome.
This year’s event will feature teams from Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, all of whom will play in front of coaches representing a who’s who of four-year schools nationwide.
Multiple games will be played simultaneously, starting every 80 minutes, beginning with a trio of 10 a.m. contests – TCC vs. Daytona State College, Pensacola State College vs. Albany Technical College and Northwest Florida State College vs. Columbia State Community College.
TCC also plays Columbia State at noon and Albany Tech at 3:15 p.m.
The final round of games begins at 4:15 p.m.
Other teams scheduled to participate in the 2010 Southern Challenge JUCO Jamboree include: College of Central Florida, Chipola College, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Georgia Perimeter College, Gulf Coast Community College, Hillsborough Community College, Santa Fe College and South Georgia Technical College.
General admission is $5. Ages 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
