Classroom and Media Support

CIT is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of all classroom media technology systems. Many classrooms on the main campus are permanently equipped with data projection systems and other AV equipment. We can deliver LCD projectors, TV/VCR/DVD units, sound systems, etc., to classrooms that do not contain permanent systems.

Technology Classrooms

The majority of classrooms on campus have media equipment permanently installed. Podium keys may be obtained from your division office. Training is required before technology classrooms may be used. Please contact CIT at (850) 201-8388 to schedule a hands-on training session.

Equipment Pickup

Faculty and staff may check out a variety of equipment, including laptop computers, digital cameras, wireless presenters, digital video camcorders, etc. The standard check-out period is two to five days. The CIT director may approve check-out for up to seven days. If you require the use of equipment for a period greater than seven days, we ask that you provide a written request (e-mail or a note) from your Dean or Division Director.
In your request, please provide the following information:

2. Department
3. Phone number
4. Email address
5. Date needed
6. Time frame needed (from __ to ___)
7. Equipment needed

Deliveries and Reservations

If the Audio/Visual equipment you need is not installed in your classroom, CIT can deliver as needed. We have LCD projectors, TV/VCR, DVD units, and a variety of other equipment. In order to book audiovisual equipment and materials, please send an email to cit@tcc.fl.edu. A confirmation email will be sent to you when your request has been scheduled.

Help Calls

Please contact us as soon as possible at (850) 201-8388, if you encounter any technical problems using the AV equipment. In addition, the classrooms are equipped with telephones with a speed dial button for AV support.
CIT's Service Desk will make solving your problem our highest priority. In most cases, a technician will arrive within five to ten minutes of your call. If you have suggestions or comments concerning classroom support, please email us at cit@tcc.fl.edu.
CIT technicians also provide hands-on training in the operation of the AV equipment in your classroom. Please send an email to cit@tcc.fl.edu to make an appointment for training.
