About
Our mission is to assist faculty in developing the skills, knowledge and abilities in the use of instructional technology and distance learning course development.The CIT instructional technology team and faculty technology lab offers a wealth of resources to help support your instruction, whether in the class or distance learning. We offer assistance in the design and implementation of web based, web assisted, and hybrid courses. Our goals are to assist you in enhancing course quality, facilitate student collaboration, and increasing student engagement and success.
CIT also provide many training opportunities on instructional software, multimedia development, Blackboard tutorials, best practices for distance learning, and much more! We are your one stop shop for all of your instructional technology needs! To learn more about the training opportunities offered through TCC, visit our Training information pages. If the scheduled workshop time doesn't fit your needs, or if you would like information about a topic not covered in our workshops, you can schedule a one-on-one, group, or departmental wide Blackboard or instructional technology training session by submitting an online request, emailing us at CITTRAINING@tcc.fl.edu, or calling 201-8388.
Faculty Computer (FaCIT) Lab
Situated on the second floor of the TCC library, room 228, the Faculty Lab is a dedicated resource space to provide faculty and adjuncts with support and training in the use of technology within the curriculum. There are several computers equipped with a variety of tools and general and specialized software packages. Teaching a Web Based Course
CIT offers the Distance Learning Academy (DLA) workshop to assist faculty in the development of web based courses. Also offered are many training opportunies and online tutorials to help you meet the expectations and computer competencies needed to be a successful distance learning instructor.
