Faculty Co-Curricular Learning Grants

Were you aware that the Department of Campus Life sponsors a Faculty Co-Curricular Learning Grant (FCLG) funded by student activity and service fees?

FCLGs provide faculty/instructors the opportunity to obtain funds for programs which support and facilitate student-faculty interaction, student leadership development and student learning outside of the classroom.

How much can I request?

Faculty or academic departments can request up to $1,000 for programs and events. A total of $10,000 has been allocated for the 2010-11 Academic Year. The committee will review grant requests above $1,000, where the outcomes can have a significant impact on co-curricular learning for TCC students college-wide.

What is the process for submitting the FCLG Proposal?

FCLG proposals should be submitted to Campus Life at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the program or activity via e-mail at CampusLife@tcc.fl.edu. Additional time will be required for programs that require travel, or where a contract is required to be signed by the Vice President for Administrative Services. (Contact Campus Life for more information about the FCLG application process.)

Ideas for possible programs or activities…

  1. Local, state-wide or national speakers
  2. Programs which foster civic engagement or outside the classroom learning
  3. Ongoing, monthly themed-activities which support a co-curricular learning series.
