Academy of Teaching, Learning, and Success (ATLAS)

ATLAS is an opportunity for you to connect with other colleagues, learn more about TCC's resources to support faculty and students, and ultimately, to support and expand knowledge, skills, and abilities related to teaching and learning at TCC. The idea behind ATLAS is to provide directions and maps to many different places. There are many destinations in teaching and learning and many ways to get there. Along the way are interesting stops on this exciting journey. Enjoy the journey, enjoy the experience, and have fun connecting with colleagues and enhancing your teaching!

The guiding question for these seminars is, "What can I do to enhance learning for my students?" The process for answering the question is based on extensive interaction and sharing with colleagues across disciplines. Exposure to TCC faculty resources including the Center for Teaching, Learning and Leadership and the Center for Distance Learning along with information about TCC's student resources such as the learning centers and the STAR lab will connect you with the tools and resources for successful teaching and learning.

Praise for ATLAS

"I enjoyed it!  Informative, refreshing, renewing, fun, and I'm planning to use the information learned in my classes this Fall."

 - Leslie Pla, Academic Support Programs Adjunct Faculty

"ATLAS, for me, was a life-changing in professional development as a college instructor. It was the first course I was in that focused on college teaching. Active, engaged participation with fellow colleagues made in that much more richer and valuable."

-Paul Wheelhouse, Humanities Adjunct Faculty
