Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy opens advanced training facility
A "one-of-a-kind" facility for training law enforcement officers in homeland security, hostage, and other high-pressure situations will open at the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy on Sept. 6.
Gadsden County Schools and TCC Seek Academically Talented Students
Identifying disadvantaged youth in Gadsden County, Florida, with academic potential is the mission of the new Talent Search Program. Tallahassee Community College received $880,000 from the U.S. Department of Education for the next four years to help identify these youth in Gadsden County and help them complete high school and enroll in postsecondary programs.
TCC awarded $511,000 through SUCCEED, Florida!
Lt. Governor Toni Jennings and Education Commissioner John L. Winn today announced the recipients of $33.4 million in 2006-2007 SUCCEED, Florida! Career Education Grants. Among the recipients were Tallahassee Community College's Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) and Nursing Program, who received three separate grants totaling $511,654.

TCC welcomes back faculty and staff
Tallahassee Community College held its annual Welcome Back Assembly for faculty on Friday in Turner Auditorium. The event was a continuation of TCC's two-week long "Welcome Back" calendar, which includes events for new faculty, as well as returning faculty and members of classified staff.
