TCC Professor Pam Laws solos with Mormon Tabernacle Choir
In a stunning honor, TCC Professor Pam Laws performed as a soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at its Sunday service in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Oct. 29. The performance will also be broadcast live on the Choir's weekly program, "Music and the Spoken Word," which is carried by more than 2,000 television and radio stations worldwide.
TCC Publications Receive Top Honors
Both of Tallahassee Community College's student publications - the Eyrie literary magazine and the Talon newspaper - took top honors at the Florida Community College Press Association awards recently in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to winning for general excellence in their categories, the Talon won 13 individual awards and the Eyrie 10.
Theatre TCC Presents Aesop's Fables
For the next two weeks, the local community is invited to the campus of Tallahassee Community College to learn about the mysterious storyteller Aesop through his famous works like "The Hare and the Tortoise" and "The Fox and the Crow". October 13-14 and 20-21, audiences of all ages are encouraged to come enjoy the adventures of "Aesop's Fables".

National Science Foundation awards $460,000 to TCC
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a $460,000 grant to Tallahassee Community College that will provide scholarships for students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
TCC Celebrates Its 40th In Style
After a year-long celebration recognizing 40 years of excellence in teaching and serving the community, Tallahassee Community College capped things off with a bang. TCC hosted its 40th Anniversary Gala Friday, October 6, at FSU's University Center Club. On hand at the event was Pam Laws providing her stellar vocals during the President's Reception and local band Crooked Shooz headlining the entertainment hour.
