TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A 21-year old German student will attend Tallahassee Community College this fall as a result of the College's participation in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Program.

District Board votes to not increase tuition
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Tallahassee Community College District Board of Trustees approved a $59.3 million budget for the 2007-08 academic year ensuring the College's open door admissions policy stays open. At the meeting the Board rescinded their December 2006 vote to increase in-state tuition by $3 per credit hour which would have gone into effect in the Spring 2008 semester.

Summer Food Drive continues through Friday
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - To date, over 700 canned goods have been contributed during TCC's Summer Food Drive benefitting Catholic Charities of Tallahassee. It's not too late for you to participate.The food drive titled "Hunger Does Not Take a Summer Vacation" ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 22.
TCC Recognizes One of its Own
Each year, Tallahassee Community College's Division of Administrative Services presents the Above and Beyond Award, recognizing one of its staff members for his or her outstanding service to the College. This year's recipient is Delorise Robinson.
Governor Crist Appoints Two and Re-Appoints One to the TCC District Board of Trustees
Governor Crist names Karen B. Moore and Eugene Lamb Jr., and reappoints Frank S. Messersmith to the TCC District Board of Trustees. TCC President Bill Law thanks the Governor for appointing such capable community leaders and said that the Governor's diligence to find exemplary trustees demonstrates support for local autonomy of Florida's community colleges.
TCC Students Plan for Humanitarian Mission to Cambodia
Students from Tallahassee Community College and Florida State University are planning a 10-day trip to Cambodia to volunteer at schools and orphanages during the 2007 winter break. The group is called Students in Action and most of the students have been involved with TCC's Model United Nations program. They are currently raising money and supplies to take on their trip.
TCC Offers New Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certificate Program
Tallahassee Community College's division of Health Care Professions has added a new certificate program to its slate of offerings. The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program will begin this Fall, giving current Certified Radiologic Technologists the opportunity to enhance their professional skills.
