TCC receives funds to bring four Egyptian students to campus

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Tallahassee Community College (TCC) has been awarded $102,940 from the U.S. Department of State for the purpose of bringing four Egyptian students to the College for the Fall 2008 Semester.

TCC, UCF announce partnership to provide solar and photovoltaic training

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College (TCC) and the University of Central Florida (UCF) are teaming up to offer solar and photovoltaic training to residents of Florida’s Big Bend and Panhandle regions. The partnership is part of the Employ Florida Alternative Energy Banner Center, a statewide training program for alternative energy technologies that is targeting students throughout the state.

TCC Opens Manufacturing Skill Standards Certification Program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College has become an assessment center for the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), which means that area residents will be able to earn industry certification. Housed at the College’s Division of Economic & Workforce Development (EWD), the assessment program represents the first effort by the manufacturing industry to create a nationally-recognized certificate.

Mentor families needed for Egyptian students coming to TCC

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Earlier this month, Tallahassee Community College received funding from the U.S. Department of State for the purpose of bringing four Egyptian students to the College for the Fall 2008 Semester. As part of the Community College Initiative-Egypt (CCI-E), the visiting students are required to have mentor families during their stay in Tallahassee.

ACT prep classes come to TCC Wakulla Center

WAKULLA, Fla. – (June 26, 2008) July 2008, the TCC Wakulla Center is expanding its services to include a six-hour ACT Preparation class geared towards rising 11th and 12th graders. Classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. the weeks of July 8, 15 and 22.
