TCC hosts Lunch and Learn October 5
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Tallahassee Community College Career Center and LeadingEdge Networking continue the fall Lunch and Learn series on Tuesday, October 5 with “Starting and Running a Business ” from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Room 189 of TCC’s Student Union.
Preview TCC event offers prospective students the opportunity to plan for the future
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee Community College is opening its doors to the community for its Preview TCC event on Monday October 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. The preview will give people an opportunity to meet with TCC representatives and learn about the application process, financial aid, scholarships, campus life and the College’s degree, certificate and workforce training programs
PTLEA golf tournament raises $4,200 for charity
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy Charity Golf Tournament has raised $4,200 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The four-person scramble tournament, which was held Saturday, October 9, attracted 18 teams to Southwood Golf Club for a day of perfect weather and friendly competition.
TCC Kicks Off 2010 United Way Campaign
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 13, 2010) - This week marks the kick off of TCC’s annual United Way campaign. The campaign is striving towards 100% participation from faculty and staff to reach the goal of $20,000 for the United Way of the Big Bend.
Florida Public Safety Institute to host High Liability Instructor Conference
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Public Safety Institute will conduct its second annual High Liability Instructor Conference on October 18-22. Throughout the week, approximately 300 criminal justice high liability trainers from Florida, Georgia and Alabama will participate in hands-on training sessions relating to firearms, defensive tactics, driving and medical first responder.

TCC to host Fall Festival to benefit the United Way

Human rights activist Naomi Tutu will speak at TCC
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Tallahassee Community College will host renowned human rights activist Naomi Tutu as part of its celebration of International Education Week. Tutu will speak on “Striving for Justice: Searching for Common Ground” at 6 p.m. on November 15 in the Student Union ballroom.
For the first time, TCC participates in the world’s largest online college fair
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College is preparing to participate in the world’s largest college fair, but it’s not taking place in some massive, echoing convention center—it’s happening online. On Wednesday, November 3 and Thursday, November 4 TCC is sponsoring a virtual booth at CollegeWeekLive FALL, the leading free online college fair and admissions event website.
