With PTLEA’s help, FWC basic recruits achieve 100 percent pass rate on state exam
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Basic Recruit Class 005 has achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the Florida State Officer Certification Exam (SOCE), an effort aided by the Florida Public Safety Institute's (FPSI) Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy (PTLEA).

TCC student interns travel to D.C., meet with White House administration and elected officials
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College students Djawa Hall and Cierra Robinson traveled with the Young Elected Officials (YEO) Network to Washington D.C., for the sixth annual National Convening on June 2-5. At the Convening, they had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with representatives from the White House Administration, as well as United States Congressmen and 200 of the nation’s youngest progressive elected officials from around the country.
TCC hosts clean energy summer camp for children of low-income families
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - TCC’s Division of Workforce Development in partnership with the Tallahassee Housing Authority (THA) is hosting a clean energy summer camp for 20 children of low-income families Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 24. The camp includes a variety of lessons on energy and hands-on technology/science projects intended to pique kids’ interest in clean energy and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers.
