TCC announces HERO scholarship for veteran students in need
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - TCC has established the HERO Scholarship, designed to help students who have overcome heroic odds pay for their college education. The driving force behind this scholarship is TCC professor Dr. Melissa Soldani-Lemon. She has made a significant personal pledge over the next ten years to initiate the launch of the scholarship.
The TCC Fine Art Gallery announces latest exhibit, featuring the art of local K-12 students
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The TCC Fine Art Gallery is proud to announce its latest exhibit, Art and Addiction: Putting a Human Face on Addiction and Recovery. The gallery is celebrating the new exhibit with a reception Thursday, May 26 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
TCC will compete for $1 million Aspen Institute Prize
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - TCC is preparing its second round application for the Aspen Institute Prize. The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program has already placed TCC among the nation’s 120 best community colleges in a list that was announced on April 25. That was the first step for TCC and other colleges competing for $1 million in prize money.
SGA extends application deadline for Senate positions
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College's Student Government Association (SGA) is continuing to accept applications for open Senate positions. The deadline has been extended to August 19.
TCC announces summer Tech@Night workshops

TCC hosts Meet the President event in Leon County
TALLAHASSEE , Fla. (May 13, 2011) - On Monday, May 16, Tallahassee Community College is hosting a special Meet the President event in the Student Union Ballroom on TCC’s main campus. The reception will take place from five to seven p.m., immediately following the Board of Trustees meeting. The Meet the President event is the final of three, each one taking place in one of TCC’s three service district counties—Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla.
TCC Career Center announces summer workshop schedule

Tallahassee dentists award scholarships to TCC students
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Three students in TCC’s Dental Health Programs have been awarded scholarships, courtesy of Drs. Glenn and Marci Beck of Tallahassee. The Becks, who have a practice in General Dentistry in Tallahassee, award scholarships to students in TCC’s dental program on an annual basis. Each scholarship recipient was awarded $300.
Flagler College-Tallahassee commencement ceremony set for Saturday

Tallahassee shuts out Polk State, punches ticket to Utah
PENSACOLA, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College, the No. 4 seed from the Panhandle Conference, shut out No. 6 Polk State College, 2-0, on Sunday morning to claim the FCSAA Gulf District/NJCAA District H Softball Championship and the accompanying berth to the NJCAA Division I Softball National Tournament in St. George, Utah, May 19-21.
