TCC Library participating in Florida Library Snapshot Day

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Tallahassee Community College Library will participate in the second annual Florida Library Snapshot Day event on Wednesday, November 2.

 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Take a walk through the Haunted Forest for a frightening good time, and help raise money for the TCC United Way Campaign at the same time!

Ambassador Allan Katz will speak at Tallahassee Community College

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Tallahassee Community College will host the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Portugal, Allan J. Katz, as part of its celebration of International Education Week. Katz will speak at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 14, in TCC’s 480-seat Turner Auditorium. The theme of his address will be “Education Links You to the Global Economy: Are You Ready?” A reception will follow.

TPP Advisory Board to hold meeting November 1

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  - On Tuesday, November 1, the Division of Technology and Professional Programs (TPP) of TCC is hosting its fall semester Advisory Board meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. The meeting will take place on TCC’s main campus in the Center for Workforce Development, room 105. The Advisory Board plays an important role in assessing the needs of local businesses and aligning TPP’s program outcomes to match those needs.

Bands Perform Fall Concert at Tallahassee Community College

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Capital City Concert Band and the TCC Jazz Band will present a fall concert on Wednesday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in Turner Auditorium, in the Fine & Performing Arts Center on TCC’s campus at 444 Appleyard Drive. Turner Auditorium boasts excellent acoustics and 480 comfortable seats with plenty of leg room.

TCC hosts Scholarship Fair October 27

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  - Tallahassee Community College's Office of Financial Aid will host its annual Scholarship Fair on Thursday, October 27, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Fine and Performing Arts Center. 

TCC’s medical billing and coding specialists complete new course with great success

TALLAHASSEE, FL – A 100 percent completion rate and 80 percent pass rate on the national certifying exam marked the completion of the inaugural class of Tallahassee Community College’s medical billing and coding specialists.

Lighthouse of the Big Bend, TCC to host technology seminar

TCC Speech and Debate hosts "Evening of Forensics"

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College's speech and debate team will host its traditional "Evening of Forensics" at 7 p.m., Monday, October 24 in Turner Auditorium. Proceeds from the event will support the Shira Brownstein Memorial Scholarship Fund.

TCC Model UN to celebrate National United Nations Day on Monday, October 24

The TCC Model UN team is celebrating National United Nations Day on Monday, October 24 in the Student Union.  From 12 to 5 p.m. Model UN club members will be hosting a table with information about the UN and its current programs.  There will also be quiz contests with a chance to win gift certificates for meals in the food court.

Sport Business degree now available on TCC’s campus

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Saint Leo University’s Tallahassee campus is now offering a Bachelor of Arts degree in sport business. This new degree program is in addition to its criminal justice and psychology degree programs. Saint Leo University’s Tallahassee campus is located on the main campus of Tallahassee Community College – one of TCC’s five University Partners. 

TCC names David Hendry Chief of Police

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Tallahassee Community College has named David Hendry its new Chief of Police. Hendry succeeds E.E. Eunice, who was recently named Executive Director of TCC’s Florida Public Safety Institute. 

TCC’s paramedic graduates chalk up 100-percent pass rate on state exam

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Summer graduates in Tallahassee Community College's Paramedic Program just learned they achieved a 100-percent pass rate on the State of Florida Paramedic Certification Exam. 

Spain Study Abroad to hold Orientation on October 12

Theatre TCC’s Zombie Prom is more fun than frightening

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Just in time for Halloween, Theatre TCC! will open its 2011-12 season at 8 p.m., Thursday, October 13, with the campy, rollicking musical Zombie Prom . It’s the story of teen romance in the atomic age, as bad boy Jonny and good girl Toffee fall in love. After a break up, Jonny commits suicide by driving his motorcycle into a nuclear reactor. The “undead” youth then returns to school hoping to take his girl to the prom.

TCC’s Dental Assisting students achieve 100-percent pass rate on national exam

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 5, 2011) – TCC's latest class of dental assisting students have achieved a 100-percent pass rate on the Dental Assisting National Board Examination. The students graduated in July but just received their exam scores last week. The Dental Assisting National Board Examination (DANB) is recognized by the American Dental Association as the national certification board for dental assistants.
