TallyScript
The TallyScript program at Tallahassee Community College (TCC) is an opportunity for students to record community service hours on their official TCC transcript. The academic transcript is a direct reflection of one's college career for potential employers and four-year institutions.
TallyScript Guidelines
- You must perform a minimum of 20 hours of service per semester to have your service recorded for that term.
- All forms must contain an agency supervisor's signature for each service activity.
- All forms must have your signature.
- All forms must be turned in to the Office of Student Volunteerism no later than the last class day.
Service Activities Considered for TallyScript
- Service at a non-profit agency (i.e. Boys & Girls Clubs).
- Service at a for-profit organization whose mission involves meeting social service needs of the community (i.e. nursing homes and hospitals).
- Church-sponsored service where the goal is meeting secular needs (i.e. church soup kitchen).
- Government-sponsored service at the federal, state and local level (i.e. county school program).
- The coordination of fundraising events with direct interaction with a non-profit beneficiary.
- Service performed as part of a service-learning course requirement, internship, or scholarship requirement that meets the guidelines above.
- Work in non-partisan political organizations and campaigns (i.e. League of Women Voters).
Service Activities NOT Considered for TallyScript
- Work at any organization where you obtain a wage or stipend (exemption: scholarships).
- Club or organization related activities that benefit the club (i.e. office clean up, meetings, office hours).
