Engineering Club

Club Logo

The TCC Engineering Club provides an interactive environment with opportunities in designing, planning, and the application of different projects. We are open to all levels of pre-engineering students or any students interested in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM). Through these projects students obtain an on-campus resource where they can participate and learn more about the engineering field, leadership, teamwork, and networking. We also provide a network of information for anyone interested in pursuing an engineering degree (in any field) that contains advice and planning for their class schedule, transfer requirements, and general information about engineering careers. The TCC Engineering Club also plans several educational and engineering related trips throughout the year.

The TCC Engineering Club is also a branch of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and partners with the ASME FAMU/FSU student section and the ASME Tallahassee section. The ASME sections provide local tours of industrial and research facilities that are planned throughout the year. The club also participates in an annual rocket competition sponsored by the Florida Space Grant Consortium, Florida Space Institute, and NEFAR (North East Florida Association of Rocketry). We frequently attend the NFCC (North Florida Community College) Sentinel Rocketeers meetings and rocket launches and encourage anyone interested to visit the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) and Tripoli Rocketry Association websites.

The club is also a member of the SOC (Student Organizations Council), which is the governing body for all student clubs at TCC. Through the SOC we frequently participate in TCC on campus activities and events sponsored by our fellow clubs at TCC. The TCC Engineering Club meets in the Science and Math (SM) building office area and our meetings are usually held in the SM building conference room (SM260). For meeting times and dates or any questions please e-mail our club president, vice president, our advisor.
