New Student Orientation

Congratulations! You are now a member of the Tallahassee Community College family. Your next step in the journey to becoming a TCC Eagle is to attend our new student orientation. During orientation you will have an opportunity to :

  • Get a campus tour
  • Learn about campus resources
  • Meet with an academic advisor
  • Register for classes
  • Complete your Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
  • Receive information on living in Tallahassee
  • Make new friends

Fall 2012 Orientation dates can be viewed here (pdf 173.87 kB) .  If you will be a student taking classes on campus during the fall semester, please follow these  (pdf 370.92 kB) registration instructions.  If you will be a distance student (taking only online classes) for the fall, please follow these (pdf 400.67 kB)  registration instructions.  Students need to complete the required online orientation component before registering for an on-campus orientation for the Fall 2012 semester.  Please allow up to 48 hours for your orientation hold to be lifted.  Please note the student should be the one to complete the online orientation, not the parent.

Summer 2012 Orientation dates can be viewed here (pdf 167.09 kB) .  To register for a summer orientation date, please follow these registration instructions (pdf 324.36 kB) .

When selecting an orientation, be sure to choose a date that matches the semester you want to start classes. Be sure to pay attention to the orientation times--you will need to be here for the entire time listed for orientation.  Registration appointments are required  to attend orientation. Please note that the newly admitted student should be the one to make the orientation reservation as information provided by the student will directly impact their orientation experience.

Are you traveling from out of town to Tallahassee for orientation?  Be sure to check out this list of hotels in Tallahassee  (pdf 259.29 kB) if you need a place to stay during your trip.
