Residency

If you are a new student to TCC or a student who is currently classified as out-of-state for tuition purposes, click here for the Florida Resident for Tuition Purposes Affidavit (pdf 594.33 kB) . You can also click here for the Understanding Florida Residency brochure (pdf 1.01 MB) that will help to explain the rules for Florida residency for tuition purposes. Please note that ONLY complete, legible residency packages will be accepted. If your information is not complete, or is incorrect, it will result in your being assessed out of state fees. Faxed residency affidavits or faxed supporting documents are not accepted. New students with residency questions should contact Enrollment Services and Student Success at enrollment@tcc.fl.edu or via telephone to (850) 201-8555 for assistance.

Complete the affidavit and submit in person or by U.S. Mail to:

Currently enrolled TCC students who were initially classified as out-of-state students for tuition purposes and who can provide evidence of permanent residency in the State of Florida for 12 consecutive months may request to be reviewed for residency reclassification. Students who wish to be considered for residency reclassification need to make an appointment to discuss their case by contacting Enrollment Services and Student Success at enrollment@tcc.fl.edu or via telephone to (850) 201-8555. Telephone appointments may be made for those students who are out of town or are unable to come to campus to meet with residency staff. The residency staff will review each case individually to determine whether or not the student may be eligible for reclassification. When eligibility has been determined, the residency staff will provide the student with a list of documents that should be submitted.  Students will be notified via phone or email within three business days of the residency decision.
