Testing Center
Welcome to the Testing Center at Tallahassee Community College. The Testing Center provides testing services for TCC students, faculty and other educational institutions. The Testing Center is located in the Fine and Performing Arts Bldg., Room 208; Workforce Testing is located in Room 211 and Disability Support Testing is located in Rm. 219. Distance Learners should contact the Distance Learning Testing Office at (850) 201-6440. A TCC photo or government-issued ID is required for all testing.

The Testing Center administers a variety of exams, including FPERT, SPI/WEB/TV; Exemption; CJBAT/FBAT; HESII Nurse Admissions; MCAS; and Distance Learning for non-TCC students.
- Florida Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (FPERT): TCC requires all first-time students and transfer students, who have not completed a college level math and English course, to take a placement test. Students may use the ACT, the SAT, or the FPERT as long as the scores are not older than two years. The FPERT is administered on a walk-in basis Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. See Test Score Policy (msword 27.00 kB) .
- CJBAT: The Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test (CJBAT) was established in 2000 by the Florida Legislature to evaluate basic abilities in several areas of performance for entry level Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers. For more information on areas of performance visit www.ifpra.com. The CJBAT is administered, by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The cost is $35.00 payable to the TCC Cashier, located on the second floor of the Student Union Building. Please come to the Workforce Testing Office to pick up a Test Authorization Form, prior to your scheduled appointment. All appointments must be made by close of business the day before the desired testing date.
- FBAT: The Florida Basic Abilities Test for Probation Officers (FBAT) is administered by appointment only, as needed. The student must complete a Records Release Form and Registration Form at the time of scheduling. The cost is $35.00 payable to the TCC Cashier, located on the second floor of the Student Union Building. Please come to the Workforce Testing Office to pick up a Test Authorization Form, prior to your scheduled appointment. All appointments must be made by close of business the day before the desired testing date.
- HESII-A2 Nurse Admissions Test: The HESII-A2 Nurse Admissions Test is administered, by appointment only, Monday through Friday. Students must establish an Evolve account and complete 4 sections: Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Vocabulary and Math. A minimum of 75 is required on each of the four tests. If a prospective student tests twice, the student must retake all four sections. However, the test with the higher cumulative score will be the one considered for admission. The cost is $34.00 payable to the TCC Cashier, located on the second floor of the Student Union Building. Please contact the Workforce Testing Office to establish an Evolve account and to pick up a Test Authorization Form, prior to your scheduled appointment. All appointments must be made by close of business the day before the desired testing date.

- Distance Learners: Students who reside outside of Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla counties may establish proctor services for SPI/WEB/TV course testing. Please contact the Distance Learning Testing Office at (850) 201-6440 for more details.
- SPI/WEB/TV Courses: Students who take classes through Self-Paced Instruction (SPI), WEB based and Televised, may come to the main campus to take exams. All tests are administered on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday and the 2nd Saturday of each month, excluding Spring Break. Students should arrive one hour prior to closing to allow sufficient testing time. Please see Testing Center Hours of Operation, below.
