Academic Advising

Tallahassee Community College has a progressive advising model which is a system of shared responsibility between students and the College.  The College community works with students to develop educational and career plans and provides opportunities for refining academic and life skills.

Complete Withdrawals

Students wishing to withdraw from their entire class schedule during any given semester must process their withdrawal through the Enrollment Services and Student Success department. Prior to withdrawing, advisers can present all available options and assist students in making the appropriate decision for their current semester.

Disability Support Services

Tallahassee Community College is committed to creating an accessible environment where individuals are viewed on the basis of their ability, not their disability. TCC will diligently pursue making all programs, services and facilities accessible to and usable by all qualified students with disabilities.  The college will assure educational access by providing reasonable and appropriate accommodations, while maintaining the academic standards and integrity of the institution.

Distance Learning Support Services

The Student Success Center provides continued support to TCC distance learning students through advising, correspondence and special outreach programs.

Early Alert Progress Reports

Tallahassee Community College is committed to promoting student success. In order to provide new students timely feedback on their academic performance in a course, the College has implemented an early alert progress reports system. Students in all college preparatory courses, the College Success courses, and new students who have not earned 18 college credit hours will be provided this feedback from their instructors.

Mental Health Services

To assist students with achieving their academic goals, free mental health assessments, referrals, and brief counseling services are offered for Tallahassee Community College students through TCC Mental Health Services.

Self-Paced Instruction Class Registration

Self-Paced Instruction (SPI) courses are independent study classes that allow students to work at their own pace, free from the requirement of attending class on campus.
