Complete Withdrawals

Students wishing to withdraw from all of their classes during any given semester must submit a completed Official Withdrawal Form to the Enrollment Services and Student Success department by the required withdrawal deadline. The withdrawal deadline for each semester is equivalent to the midpoint of the term for that session, and students are encouraged to check the academic calendar for the current term withdrawal deadline.

Students should take these important steps before seeking a withdrawal:

Communicate with your instructor(s) on a consistent basis throughout the semester to discuss your progress in your course(s).

  1. Familiarize yourself with TCC's academic resources and utilize TCC's learning centers.
  2. Contact an adviser or a student affairs staff member to discuss the consequences of a withdrawal. Withdrawing from classes may impact your financial aid award or hinder you in your pursuit of future personal and career goals.

The following is a list of issues students should consider before withdrawing:

Withdrawals after the established refund deadline are subject to a 100 percent tuition liability.

  1. Withdrawals may affect a student's financial aid status (see the TCC Catalog for additional information).
  2. Withdrawals may affect an international student's visa status.
  3. Withdrawing from a course may affect a student's ability to apply and be admitted to a limited access program.
  4. Withdrawals may affect a student's graduation timeline.
  5. Withdrawals may be associated with higher educational costs.

For additional information on withdrawals, please contact Enrollment Services and Student Success at (850) 201-8555 or enrollment@tcc.fl.edu.
