While looking for work can be an exciting time, it can also involve fear and discomfort about change and the unknown. These four (4) workshops will help you teach participants how to determine what their skill set is made up of, the kind of work that is important and realistic to include in their search, and how to get started. Each week a new topic will be covered in these series of workshops. Listed below are the topics and the outcome for each session.
Resume Writing: Format your resume. Focus on crafting professional objective and educational experience. Bolster your resume to make your experience more relevant or lack job experience. Focus on digital formats, including scanning, using keywords, and resume alternatives.
Interview Skills: Learn common interview questions. What is your body language saying about you? Perform mock interviews. Closing the interview.
Job Search: Dress for success. Learn how to handle change and transition. Develop skills and abilities. Research resources. Invite your network. Think out of the box.
The Interview: So you landed the interview. Learn how to ask your potential employer those touchy questions. Identify techniques for selling yourself. Learn how to close the interview. The dos and don’ts after the interview.

While we don’t have to like the people we work with, or report to, at the very least we should be able to interact positively with them. The biggest influence on job satisfaction is our relationship with others. Work is not the only thing that matters in life, but most of us want to take pride in what we do. This is a two-day workshop designed for those who work in support positions, to help them improve their everyday performance in an office environment. The two days will help you improve your communications skills, make a good first impression, and develop personal management skills.

Perhaps it is time for you to evaluate how you use the telephone and where it fits into your sales and marketing mix. This workshop will show you how the telephone can supplement, enhance, and sometimes replace other means of marketing and selling, and how this personal approach can dramatically increase your sales success. This workshop will also talk about how to hone your communication skills, your ability to persuade, and your ability to personalize each sales call.

This course prepares an individual for a full-time position as a bank teller and provides a foundation for a long-term career in banking. You will learn banking procedures and terminology, customer skills, communications, fraud prevention, current banking regulations, and how to balance daily transactions. Additionally you will receive resume preparation and interviewing techniques in order to assist you in a job search.
