TCC2FAMU promotes a seamless transfer experience for students who want to earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree at Tallahassee Community College and then a Bachelor's degree from Florida A&M University.

FAMU IGNITE Transfer Services 

FAMU IGNITE and TCC2FAMU can be used interchangeably. As the # 1  transfer school to FAMU, TCC2FAMU is a big part of FAMU’s IGNITE program. 

As defined, FAMU IGNITE Transfer program allows students who attend a Florida College System institution guaranteed general admissions into a state university after completion of an associate’s degree, [Pursuant to 1007.23 F.S.] NOTE: Limited access program may require additional admissions and prerequisite requirements. Participants must have between 0-50 earned academic credits to join. Students transferring to FAMU must fill out an application for admission to FAMU by the posted deadlines.  TCC2FAMU is not an application to the University.

Program benefits include:

  • One-on-one advising with transfer-focused TCC advisors
  • FAMU advising is available. Monthly schedule available on MYTCC website
  • Transfer information for students who plan on applying for a limited-access program at FAMU
  • Florida Community College Scholarship available to TCC2FAMU/IGNITE students who meet the criteria
  • Students with at least 30 credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 can get a free IGNITE Card access to FAMU activities, including Rattler athletic events. 
    • Additionally, if eligible to receive the Ignite Card, TCC2FAMU students can also purchase a Gym Membership at FAMU

Soar Ahead: Done in One

Soar Ahead is an accelerated degree program designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year Bachelor’s degree program. Through Soar Ahead, students can earn their AA degree, which traditionally takes two years, in just one year. Students selected for the inaugural cohort will begin in Fall 2022 and will graduate at the end of the Summer 2023 semester.
