Program Purpose

Program Goals:

1. To prepare graduates to successfully complete the professional credentialing exams.

2.  To prepare graduates with the knowledge, skills, and behavior learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists.

Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time they enter the program and must complete all admission requirements to the College.

Program Application

This is a limited access program with a limited number of seats per class. A program application, separate from the College admission application, is required by the published deadline for the term for which entry is desired. Application procedures for the Respiratory Care Program must be completed by the published application deadline. Application packets are available from the website www.tcc.fl.edu/respiratorycare.

Notification announcing admission decisions will be sent out approximately six weeks after the deadline date.

Course Information

  • This program begins each Fall
  • 24 students are accepted each Fall
  • Cost of the program is approximately $10,000 which includes tuition fees, books, background and drug screenings, uniforms and supplies and licensure exams
  • The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (www.coarc.com)
