FCCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Chelsea McMillan, Santa Fe

Santa Fe Community College's Chelsea McMillan is this week's FCCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week. McMillan, a sophomore from Havana, Fla., averaged 13.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in three games to help the Lady Saints secure the Mid-Florida Conference's Runners-Up berth in the FCCAA Tournament. McMillan opened play with 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and one block in a one-point loss to Central Florida on February 20. She followed that with a pair of double-doubles in season-ending victories over No. 2 Seminole and FCCJ. Against Seminole on February 23, she shot 6-of-11 from the floor en route to 15 points and 14 rebounds in the Lady Saints' 74-60 win. In the season finale against FCCJ on February 26, she tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds. For the voting period, McMillan shot 48.4 percent (15-of-31) from the floor and 68.8 percent (11-of-16) from the foul line while also averaging 1.3 assists and 1.0 block per game.
