What is Talon's Market?
Talon’s Market is a free on-campus marketplace designed for students experiencing food insecurity, or the lack of reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. According to the 2018 Food Insecurity report by the United States Government Accountability Office, 30% of college students are food insecure, 56% of which are working, and 75% already receive financial aid.
TCC is responding to this all too common crisis by:
- Feeding students
- Identifying the cause of this food insecurity
- Referring students to resources to help eliminate the root cause of their food insecurity
Who can use Talon's Market?
Any currently enrolled student, taking classes in the semester you are visiting! Visits are allowed up to six times a semester, not more than one in a week. After your second visit, a case management meeting will be scheduled to check in and see if there are any more community resources you can utilize as well.

The current hours for Talon's Market are Monday - Wednesday from 11am - 2pm, by appointment only. Special appointments outside of these hours can be made for students who work or have class during this time, just email firstname.lastname@example.org.
