Students taking online classes for the first time required to register for Introduction to Distance Learning

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 5, 2012) – TCC students—new or currently enrolled—planning to take distance learning courses for the first time are required to register for CDL-STU008: Introduction to Distance Learning . It’s a free non-credit online workshop designed to help TCC distance learning students succeed from the start.
The workshop is conducted on Blackboard over a 5-day period. Students must complete at least one Unit activity per day, and should expect to spend about an hour on each lesson. Students are free to work ahead in the workshop if they would like to complete it in less than 5 days.
The workshop will teach skills such as how to access course materials, communicate with classmates and instructors, submit homework and take tests. Some of the college policies and procedures will also be reviewed.

The Center for Distance Learning is proud to announce that students can begin registering for CDL-STU008: Introduction to Distance Learning via Passport.
