TCC wins marketing awards at state and regional levels

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 14, 2012) - Tallahassee Community College’s Office of Communications and Public Information recently received recognition at the state and regional levels for its marketing messages. The Office of Communications and Public Information connects with a variety of audiences across a range of mediums—including television, newspapers, radio, outdoor media, publications, brochures, fliers, social media and online advertisements. At the latest Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) and National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) southeastern district conferences, TCC’s messaging was compared with similar institutions’ from across the state and southeastern region—and TCC came away with a host of awards.
NCMPR southeastern region awards
  • Silver award for TCC’s GED folder
  • Bronze award for TCC’s light-pole banners
  • Bronze award for TCC’s new website design
  • Bronze award for TCC’s “Live the College Experience” TV ad
  • Bronze awards for Channel 22’s TCC Report and TCC4U video programs
AFC awards
  • First place for TCC’s “Live the College Experience” TV ad
    First place for “Early Birds, Register Now” print advertising
  • Second place for “Register Before It’s Too Late” poster design
  • Second place for TCC’s Global Gateway brochure design
“These awards affirm that we are effectively communicating with our current and future students,” said Dr. Jim Murdaugh, president of TCC. “We are proud to be recognized by our peer institutions in the AFC and NCMPR.”
