Help ISO spread holiday cheer to Hurricane Sandy victims

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 3, 2012) - In lieu of its annual silent auction, Tallahassee Community College's International Student Organization (ISO) is spreading holiday cheer to Rockaway, Queens, to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

ISO students will volunteer at the Christmas Connection on Thursday, December 6, where they will craft handmade ornaments to ship to Rockaway residents. As an extension of that effort, ISO is inviting TCC students, faculty and staff to do the same, by joining them in the Student Union Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, December 4 and 5.

All ornaments made during the two-day volunteerism effort will be sent to residents in Rockaway, Queens.

ISO will provide coffee, hot chocolate and cookies for all participants.

For more information on the event, contact International Student Services at (850) 201-8457.
