TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 12, 2013) –Tallahassee Community College’s Florida Public Safety Institute (FPSI) will host its sixth annual Black History Month breakfast on Thursday, February 21 at FPSI’s Conference Center.
A meet and greet session begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by breakfast at 9 a.m. The program will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m.
This year’s event will celebrate the theme “50th Anniversary of the March on Washington” and feature guest speakers Silvester Dawson, Florida Supreme Court Marshal, and Melvin Stone, Tallahassee Fire Academy Coordinator.
The event is open to the public, and members of the media are invited to attend.
The Florida Public Safety Institute, located 14 miles west of Tallahassee on U.S. Highway 90, is home to the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy. The Florida Public Safety Institute offers training programs in firefighting, corrections, probation, dispatching, private security and law enforcement intelligence.
