Tomorrow: World-renowned leaders to speak at Chick-fil-A Leadercast Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 9, 2013) – Usually when folks from Tallahassee see Duke’s Coach K, he’s courtside at the Civic Center, coaching against the hometown Noles. But tomorrow he’ll be assuming a different role—broadcasting an inspirational message from Atlanta as a part of the Chick-fil-A® Leadercast® hosted by Tallahassee Community College. Leadercast is a one-day leadership development event broadcast live to hundreds of sites throughout the nation, and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, TCC’s Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education will be a part of this incredible conference.
Over a hundred local business and community leaders have purchased tickets to learn from the knowledge and experience of world-renowned leaders. Speakers for this year’s event include:
  • Jack Welch, Former Chairman and CEO of General Electric
  • Andy Stanley, Best-selling leadership author and communicator
  • Mike Krzyzewski, Head men’s basketball coach, Duke University and Team USA
  • John Maxwell, Best-selling author and leadership expert
  • Dr. Henry Cloud, Best-selling author and leadership consultant
  • LCDR Rorke Denver, Navy SEAL and star of the 2012 movie Act of Valor
  • Sanya Richards-Ross, 2012 London Olympic gold medalist, track & field
  • David Allen, Best-selling author of Getting Things Done and productivity expert
  • Condolezza Rice, Secretary of State (2005-2009), via exclusive Simply Lead video interview
Last year, over 100,000 leaders from 14 countries attended Chick-fil-A Leadercast. In its 14th year, this full-day, experiential conference is predicted to reach its largest audience to date.
“This event is going to be excellent,” said Dr. Jim Murdaugh, TCC president. “We’re looking forward to not only the great line-up of national speakers, but perhaps more importantly how local connections will be built and strengthened as Big Bend Leaders grow their leadership skills together.”
Tickets can still be purchased the morning of the event at the registration table from 8 to 9 a.m.
