Speaker Change Announced for Leadercast 2014


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 14, 2014) – Leadercast has announced that former CEO of General Electric Jack Welch has withdrawn from the 2014 speaker lineup due to other commitments. In his place, Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP, will be speaking. McDermott is currently leading the world's largest provider of business software, SAP is an over $80 billion company with more than $17 billion in revenue in 2011. SAP's more than 55,000 employees and its vast ecosystem enable 183,000 customers of all sizes in more than 25 industries and 130 countries worldwide. In addition to his invaluable business leadership knowledge, McDermott is also well-known as an active community leader and advocate for corporate social responsibility. As a team, we are really impressed with McDermott's "Beyond You" leadership style of investing in people and building great teams, which no doubt drives SAP's success.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 24, 2014) – For the second year, Tallahassee Community College Workforce Development is bringing a unique leadership opportunity to Tallahassee. On May 9, the College is hosting Leadercast Tallahassee, a one-day broadcast event that lets the community hear from a variety of world-renowned leaders. Tickets for the event are on sale now, with opportunities for discounted prices with early registration.

Much more than a series of lectures, Leadercast is an opportunity for the building and strengthening of local connections as Big Bend leaders grow their leadership skills together.

“Our goal is for Leadercast to be a can’t-miss event,” said Kimberly Moore, TCC’s vice president for Workforce Development. “Last year, we had folks leaving and saying, ‘I can’t wait for next year.’ And we’re confident the response this year will be even stronger. The messages from the speakers are provocative and inspiring—and the opportunities for collaboration within the community are excellent.”
