​Equity and Civil Rights

Tallahassee Community College is committed to equal access and equal opportunity, and does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, genetic information, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or age in its programs and activities.

As an institution of higher education, the College reaffirms both its policies of equal educational opportunity and open admissions for all individuals, and its commitment to maintaining and promoting nondiscrimination in all aspects of recruitment and employment.  The complaint of any student, employee or applicant who has reason to feel he or she has been affected by discrimination, sexual misconduct or harassment will be addressed through appropriate policy and procedure. In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Tallahassee Community College believes no person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity.  Follow the provided links for additional information regarding Title IX Compliance and complaint procedures.  

The College has designated Renae Tolson, Director of Business Process Improvement, as the College’s Equity Officer and Title IX Coordinator. Ms. Tolson is located in the Administrative Services Suite, room number 239 on the second floor of the Administration Building.

Any student, employee or applicant who believes they have experienced discrimination, sexual misconduct or harassment, including workplace or classroom harassment, discrimination in hiring or admission practices, or other acts of discrimination or harassment may contact the College’s Equity Officer & Title IX Coordinator directly at (850) 201-6074, or complete and submit the Complaint Form to tolsonr@tcc.fl.edu, or postmark to:
