Academic Life

TCC is the college experience you’ve been looking for

Every semester, over 15,000 students choose Tallahassee Community College as the next step in their education journey. Many are preparing for transfer to a university (nearly 75 percent of our A.A. graduates go on to study at state universities in Florida). Others are learning the skills they need to move directly into the workforce in diverse fields from health care to law enforcement to video game design.

TCC students excel both inside and outside the classroom. They are serious about their education and about making an impact after graduation.

TCC offers the freedom to choose what’s right for you

TCC offers over 90 academic and career programs and more than 600 different courses. Plus, through our University Partnerships TCC students have the opportunity to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees without ever leaving TCC’s campus.

Maybe you are saying to yourself, “I don’t know what program is right for me.” Visit our comprehensive Career Center to figure out which program and future career best matches your strengths and passions. From choosing the right academic path to polishing your resume and preparing for job interviews, the Career Center is an excellent resource to plan your future.

TCC is always evolving

TCC isn’t content to stand still. The community we serve is always changing, and TCC anticipates those changes and grows to meet the needs of our students. Sometimes the growth may seem subtle—such as creating new ways to connect with students through our blogs and social media. In other ways, our growth is dramatic, like the opening of the new Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education. Yet all of our new initiatives, programs, and facilities work towards an overarching goal: student success.

Accreditation

Tallahassee Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the associate degree. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call (404) 679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Tallahassee Community College.

Normal inquiries about the institution, such as admission requirements, financial aid, educational programs, etc., should be addressed directly to Tallahassee Community College and not to the Commission’s office. The Commission is to be contacted only if there is evidence that appears to support an institution’s significant noncompliance with a requirement or standard.

Campus Life

TCC offers you more than just a classroom

Campus life at TCC offers something for everyone. Our students have diverse interests—they’re athletes, actors, artists, musicians, dancers, activists and adventurers. Get Connected through our Campus Life office and learn more about the dozens of student clubs, organizations and volunteer opportunities.

Join our Jazz Band, become a cheerleader, explore the outdoors through Eagle Adventures, write for our award-winning literary magazine The Eyrie or be a leader and start your own extracurricular club.

Travel around the world through TCC. Our Model UN team went to the Czech Republic and our healthcare students have applied their skills in Haiti. Visit Academics Affairs to learn how you can participate in study aboard opportunities in China, France, Spain and more.

TCC is the home of the Eagles

Come cheer for the Blue and Gold at TCC! The TCC Eagles are consistently competitive in the Panhandle Conference of the NJCAA in men and women’s basketball, women’s softball and men’s baseball.

When the Bill Hebrock Eagledome is rocking and packed with fans, it offers a basketball experience unrivaled in Tallahassee, while Eagle Field and the TCC Softball Complex are the perfect places to soak up some Florida sun and root, root, root for the home team.

See the difference for yourself

Words on a computer screen can’t truly capture the feel of TCC’s campus. Come see the real thing! Take a campus tour, check out a special event or just enjoy the beautiful weather and watch the buzz of a vibrant campus full of students who are serious about their education. You’ve been warned though—our excitement can be contagious.
