Weatherization Installer or Technician
Weatherization installers and technicians perform a variety of activities to weatherize homes and make them more energy efficient. Their duties include repairing windows, insulating ducts and performing heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) work. Weatherization installers and technicians generally work indoors in residential and industrial settings. They spend most of their workday standing, bending or kneeling, often in confined spaces.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of weatherization installers and technicians is expected to grow between 10 and 19 percent from 2010 to 2020, about the average for all occupations.
