Recreation Management A.S. (2124)
Pursue a promising career in a challenging and rewarding field. In Recreation Management, students have the opportunity to lead leisure and recreational activities, work with a range of age groups and spend time indoors and outdoors. TCC offers an Associate in Science degree in Recreation Management, which prepares graduates for work in recreation departments, YMCA's, large corporations and fitness centers. Students often qualify for part-time work in the field as they pursue the degree.
This program combines business and event planning courses with recreation management courses. Students will receive first aid training, exercise education and theoretical and practical training in fitness. This certificate offers an introduction to sports management. Students will study the care and prevention of athletic injuries.
Students who graduate with this degree are prepared for a career in coaching, camp counseling and recreation leadership.
