Graphic Design Technology, A.S. (2125)
This degree prepares students to work as graphic designers. This program introduces students to the principles of design and photography. It emphasizes computer-based design, layout, multimedia and interactive design. Students will gain advanced skills in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Projects created in this certificate program will provide students with a strong portfolio to use for their future careers or to use for entry into a serious art college or university. Students will also be introduced to business communications, customer service and how to promote their work.
This degree can be completed in two full-time academic years. Part-time enrollment options are available. This program combines classroom lecture courses and hands-on labs to encourage skill building and retention.
TCC offers a series of certificate programs that build to an Associate in Science degree in Graphic Design Technology. Students may begin with any of the three certificates, or enter immediately into the degree program. Each certificate or degree will provide students with the skills and credentials to move into the job market or advance to the next academic level.
